7 Junio 2012 From Gandia to La Manga, British expats have made sure the Costa knew they were celebrating HM The Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Costa Blanca News | Noticia Street parties, club gatherings, concerts, fundraisers, and hundreds of other events have been held since Friday and continue this week. Here are just a few examples... BENIDORM BARS AND ALBIR PARTIES Albir's El Tranquilo was nothing of the sort on Sunday as the U3A Marina Baixa celebrated the jubilee. Nearby, Lil's Lounge hosted a party with a fantastic buffet that began at 13.00 and continued until late evening. In Benidorm, hotels and bars had special menus and parties to celebrate the jubilee. JAVEA CELEBRATIONS The Royal Air Force Association (RAFA). Guests of honour included British Vice-Consul Elizabeth Bell from Alicante, Robert Croizat and Teresa Wasling of Blevins Franks, the Royal Saint George's Society's sponsors and plenty of British-run groups such as the Jávea Aircrew Association, North Costa Blanca Rotary Fellowship and the Costa Blanca Wine Society.
